The public is invited to the Moorhead Winter Woodturning Event on January 13th.

The Mindac Woodturners Association will be holding its Winter Woodturning Extravaganza on January 13, 2024 at In the Chips, 303 21st Street North, Moorhead, MN. This free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and provides the public with a unique opportunity to learn more about ancient woodworking techniques.

Several skilled lathe artisans will demonstrate multiple wood turning techniques, including bowls, pens, goblets, vases, hollow molds, and spindles. Visitors will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about shaping wood on a lathe.

The Mindak Woodturners Association is a chapter of the American Woodturners Association and holds monthly meetings where members exchange ideas, share projects, and learn new techniques from guest demonstrators. In The Chips is a one-stop shop for woodcarving and woodworking enthusiasts of all skill levels. We offer classes by local artists, special events, handmade gifts, and more. In The Chips also serves as a meeting and class space for the Mindak Woodturners Association.
